Conducting Stakeholder Engagement
GreenCo recently assisted a Singapore-based company in conducting a stakeholder engagement exercise as part of its sustainability reporting process. With the company’s transition in business focus, we provided support on revising the list of sustainability-related issues to be rated in the stakeholder engagement exercise.
Failure to update the defined sustainability issues risks conducting an engagement exercise that measures and reports on obsolete priorities. This not only leads to an inefficient allocation of corporate resources but can also undermine stakeholder trust by demonstrating a misalignment between the company’s reporting priorities and its current strategic direction. Therefore, we utilised peer research and benchmarking against global recognised frameworks, such as the GRI Standards, to ensure that the Company’s material issues are consonant with contemporary industry practices and evolving global expectations.
Such approach allows us to collect meaningful input regarding new risks and opportunities that may be introduced by the business transition, thus yielding a more strategically aligned sustainability strategy. Contact GreenCo today to ensure your sustainability reporting is aligned with your evolving business mandate and comprehensively addressing the expectations of your stakeholders.
